DOTHAN, Alabama - June 6, 2017- The Wiregrass Museum of Art (WMA) is pleased to announce that Yard Party for Art, an annual fundraiser for art education, will take place in the museum's garden on Saturday, August 12, 2017. The evening will feature an energetic lineup of live, original music from regional musicians, interactive art installations, yard games, great drinks, delicious food from local food trucks, and a chance to dance the night away at a one-night music festival to support and promote the arts in the community.
The 2017 event will feature performances by Young Natives (Pensacola, Fla.), Kick the Robot (Atlanta, Ga.), Kyshona Armstrong (Nashville, Tenn.), and The Old Paints (Birmingham, Ala.).
Dothan's own microbrewery, Folklore Brewing and Meadery, will offer a craft beer tasting, and Cheers! bar service will have ice-cold beer and other beverages available for sale. Gold Plate tickets are $75 each and include dinner and admission to the Yard Party concert. Seats are limited and tickets will go on sale at WMA's front desk on June 16.
