Year Long Investigation Leads to a Arrest

On October 7, 2017, deputies received a call of shots fired into a residence in the Rehobeth area. Houston County Sheriff’s Office Investigators were called to the scene and collected evidence.
After an extensive ongoing investigation a warrant was issued for Gregory Austin Byrd on July 27, 2018 for shooting into an occupied dwelling. Byrd’s bond was set at $15,000.00. Byrd was arrested on July 30, 2018 without incident.
