A Little Bible Q & A For Your Day

Hey everybody,

I hope things are going well for you this week.  I also hope you are planning to worship with us on Sunday.  I always look forward to our time together!

Please stay safe during this time of severe weather.  Don't forget, we will have the fellowship room open for anyone seeking a secure place to stay during the upcoming storms.  If you or someone you know needs a more secure shelter over the next couple days, please come.  If anyone needs to contact me during this time, they can call me at 678-953-1510.

For today, here is a little Q & A.

The Question:

Dear Brother:  I have two friends who have told me that angels have told them certain things.  Is this possible or what do the scriptures say?

The Answer:

"Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels" (Heb, 13:2).  God seems to leave the impression that angels might still be around and be active.  Whether they speak or not the, New Testament doesn't say.  But the Bible does say how to weigh the words of any person or being.  "But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed!" (Gal. 1:8).  In other words, even if angels could speak today, they should be judged not by how their words sound, but by how those words stack up against the revealed will of God.  Even if angels spoke today, they should be judged according to the Word of God.  Whatever a man or angel might say, the Bible is the ultimate authority for hearing and knowing the will of God.

I hope this helps.

Have a safe great weekend!  Come see us sometime, we'd love to have you!
