The Dystonia Support Group of Alabama – Southeast Branch (DSGA) will meet on Saturday, March 10, 2012. The meeting will be at Covenant United Methodist Church of Dothan located on US-84 West, Room C116 which is located in the gym. There will be an informal meet and greet from 9:30 am until around 9:45 am. We will then begin the meeting be finished around 11:00 am. The meeting is open to anyone with any form of Dystonia and any family member/caregiver/friend of anyone affected by Dystonia. Dystonia is a Neurological movement disorder that causes involuntary muscle spasms/contractions in the neck, arms, legs, face and/or vocal cords. Some common forms of Dystonia are: Laryngeal/Spasmodic Dysphonia (vocal chords), Blepharospasm (eye lids), Spasmodic Torticollis/Cervical (neck), etc. For more information, you may email the following email address: [email protected]
