Students of Northview high school, have decided to protest. The students began a strike on May the 10th 2013, at 9:55am. The strike was a success to some students knowledge. The students were trying to reach out for all of the 15 teachers at NHS that were layed off. The students believed that they should fight and stand up for what they believed in. The result was about 25 kids sitting, and 100's standing and chanting. Administration was not to happy with the students, but no students got in any form of trouble. Students say they just want their voices to be heard and for wilder and Dothan to understand that the teachers didn't deserve to be fired. Students also say speak or be outspoken. The students will continue protesting Until something is done, and the teachers are able to reapply or be re-hired.

I would like to clear something up (I go to Northview) the 100's of kids standing weren't protesting (if anything they were laughing), they were just watching. The only protesters were the 20 or so sitting down
