Dothan Police and Dothan City Schools Quickly Locates Missing Child

DOTHAN:   Dothan Police Communications dispatched multiple Patrol Units to Heard Elementary School in reference to a missing juvenile.

As officers were responding to the school Communications updated the child was seen getting onto one of the buses at app. 3 PM.

Dothan Patrol Sgt. Collins contacted the Dothan School System bus center who had the child located within minutes. Dothan Police responded to where the child was located which was the Girl's Club on Alice Street.

Sgt.Collins responded and put his eyes on the child. Dothan Police remained withthe child until the mother arrived.

Dothan School Supt. Dr. Tim Wilder was also on top of the situation. However within minutes of the call dispatched the child was located and was safe.

Dothan Police Resource Officer Ramonica Carney also responded.
