Columbia lock and dam

My son was home on military leave and wanted to go fishing, so we decided to go to the Columbia dam. While we were there the game warden approached my wife who came to spend time with her son and was sitting on a rock near the water and the officer said that he observed her from a distance fishing. She had not been fishing but the officer gave her a $300 ticket for fishing without a license and after a verbal confrontation he had said she was making "fishing gestures". He then threatened her with jail and called a Houston county Sheriff to the scene. He then approached my son who was on leave and stationed outside of Alabama and does not require a license and told him that he needed a residents license which is not what the law states. A gentleman also fishing at the dam had said that the officer had given his sister a ticket for fishing without a license when she was just sitting in a lawn chair. The gentleman also stated that the officer targets women at the dam. Stop the harassment.

lele123-maybe you do know this officer I didn't mention any names out of respect to him but I agree if you disobey the law you should get a ticket but this wasn't the case. she wasn't fishing she only was with her son who had to leave the next day. charging someone who didn't do something is as wrong as if she did, its like me saying for example you broke in my house when I know you did not-. or charging someone with drugs be cause you think the person is a drug dealer-think about this now my wife is scared to go anywhere afraid of being accused of something .we couldn't even talk to the officer .put your self in her shoes. .thanks for your comment
I believe I know the alleged officer related to this post.I would like to say that these allegations are simply untrue. Also, I would have to mention that he is in no way not unfair towards women. If anyone is disobeying the law they should receive a ticket regardless of race or gender. Fishing without a license is NOT harrasment it happens to be the law!
