This past Sunday, May 12th, the Eufaula High Bass Team traveled to Montgomery to be a part of the Bassmaster Elite Series High School experience. The top bass anglers in America were competing for the Elite Series Alabama Charge ti tle and $100,000 in prize money. 7 members of the EHS Bass Team, along with approx 30 other high school anglers from around the state, met with B.A.S.S. personnel at 9 am Sunday. They spent the majority of the day behind the scenes of the event talking and learning fishing tips and techniques from the pro anglers such as J Todd Tucker and Takahiro Omari. These young anglers got to see the War Room and other parts of the television production process. Anglers were given the honor of riding to the weigh-in stage with anglers Skeet Reese, Tommy Biffle and Randy Howell. This event will be televised June 2 on ESPN2. What a great experience that these anglers will never forget.
