What the Heck?

I was fishing on Lake Eufaula late Friday morning and as I made my way underneath the Railroad Trussel I saw a fish come out of the water and slowly fly toward the sun. I knew it was extremely hot and I’d been on the water for awhile but I didn’t think I was hot enough to see flying fish... at least not a real one. I looked toward the sky and was blinded by the sun; I couldn’t tell where the flying fish went to. Curiosity finally got the best of me so I circled the large 60’ tall column in search of the flying fish. I was finally able to find the source of the mystery. It was an older gentleman sitting on the edge of the column with his feet hanging over the side... FISHING!  He held up the 3 pound bass he’d just reeled up the side of the 60’ column and laughed. I told him how crazy and dangerous it was for him to be fishing from where he was and he replied, "I been fishing from here for over 40 years and I bet I catch more fish than you do". He was right... he caught more than me.
