Cottonwood's 2A Bears Battled 4A Ashford To 7-7 Tie

The Bears and Yellow Jackets had their JAM game called at halftime due to weather. The Bears scored first and was leading 7-0 with about 3 minutes or so left in half when they turned the ball over inside their 20 yard line and the Jackets capitalized on it and scored. The previous series the Bears had held the Jackets on the 3 yard line. Bears have 5 Seniors and were without the services of two of those tonight. NIce crowd was on hand to usher in the preseason game. The Bears will officially open the season, like other teams, next Friday,Aug. 31st when they travel to Pleasant Home, to do battle with the state's no.#10 1A team........... Best Wishes everyone. B.
