Agnes Cleone Brannon, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 28, 2018. She was born to the late William Marchman and Annie Marchman (Collins) in Dale County.


 


Funeral Services 11 AM, Monday, December 31, 2018 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home, visitation will be one hour prior to service, burial to follow in Memory Hill Cemetery.


 


Agnes was a loving mother and grandmother who was always known to keep a project going on. She earned a degree in nursing and was the first chemotherapy certified nurse. Agnes hobbies included gardening, ceramics, crafts, painting china, crocheting, and cooking just to name a few.  She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed listening to gospel music, watching Alabama football, and traveling. There were many fond memories of her trip to Israel shared with her family.


 


Preceded in death by her husband: A.J. Brannon; daughter: Betty Davis, brother: William Marchman, and several step-brothers and step-sisters.


 


Survivors include her children: Sara Rister (Larry), Deloris Parnell (Charles), Jerry Brannon (Wenjia), James Brannon (June), Becky Cox (Paul), Mary Newman (Phillip), and LaNesia Davis (Michael); fifteen grandchildren, thirty great -grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and loving family members.



 Pallbearers will be: John Parrish, Dray Yarbrough, Daniel Newman, Chad Parnell, Kevin Brannon, Ashby Massey, Honorary Pall Bearer Scott Parnell



Flowers accepted or memorial donations in Agnes’s name to your choice of charity. The family would like to thank the staff at Kindred Hospice and Extendicare for their excellent care of Agnes.
