Amanda Blackmon Lamb, of New Brockton passed away Friday September 1, 2017 at her residence. She was 37.


Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 4, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Newton City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:30-1 pm prior at the funeral home.


Amanda was born July 11, 1980 in Ozark, AL and lived the early part of her life in Newton, AL. She later moved to Ozark prior to moving to New Brockton recently. She was employed as a sub-contractor with the Dothan Eagle as a bulk carrier until her medical disability.


She was preceded in death by her mother Denise Blackmon and her father Ed Blackmon.


Amanda left behind her loving husband, Christopher Lamb; her children, James “A.J.” Jordan, Robby Jordan, Alec Lamb and Brooklynn Lamb; her brothers, Michael Blackmon, Paul Blackmon, Eddie Blackmon, and David Lane; her sister, Ashley Hill; along with several nieces and nephews.
