Anne Alden Cory Godfrey died on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Magnolia Manor in Columbus, Georgia. She was 68.

Funeral services will be held 1pm on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12-1 pm on the day of the service. In lieu of flowers make donations to the Alzheimer’s Resource Center, PO Box 1170, Dothan, AL 36302.

Mrs. Godfrey lived in Dothan for 30 years before moving to Columbus, GA in 2016. She was a beloved teacher at Providence Christian School where she was a first-grade teacher before her retirement.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, William R. (Bobby); her sons, William Robert (Kristie) and Cory Matthew (Becca); her grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth, Emily Alden, Cory Maxwell and Mae Valentine; and her brother, Allan M. (Marion) Cory.
