She loved reading and had enough books to start a small library. Anne was a master knitter and left behind many sweaters, blankets, baby booties and bonnets. But mostly she was good hearted and kind to everyone.  She lived in Newark, Delaware and Claymont, Delaware before moving the Sylvan Grove Community in Dale County in 1996. Mrs. Maucher was a member of the Sylvan Grove United Methodist Church.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Karl J. Maucher, Sr., Midland City; two daughters, Heidi Ross (Brad), Midland City; and Melinda Vay Da, Ozark; a son, Karl J. Maucher, Jr. (Sharon), Bluffton, SC; ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Covenant Hospice who provided much more than nursing care for Anne. Also, much appreciation to the Sylvan Grove Church for the many meals and love given to Anne and Karl.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sylvan Grove United Methodist Church, c/o Wyndle Enfinger, 3991 County Road 73, Midland City, AL 36350.
