Annie Lizzie Shirah Jones of Live Oak, FL and formerly of Geneva, AL passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, May 03, 2017 at Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL.  She was 87.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Ken Leffler officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Jones was born on June 12, 1929 in Geneva County, AL to the late Archie Robert and Mary Ruby Shirah. Mrs. Jones graduated with the Geneva High School class of 1947. She loved to bake and cook for her family and loved working in her garden. She worked with the Harris Corp for 10 years as part of the space program. She was a very loving and devoted, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hudson Jones; six brothers, Albert, Ben, Bill, Ernest, Lambert and Robert Shirah.

She is survived by her children, Ricky A. Jones and wife April of De Leon Springs, FL, Rhonda J. Jones of Daleville, AL, Angela T. and husband Bill Cook of Attalla, AL, Stacie K. and husband Roger Hunt of Live Oak, FL; one brother, Don Shirah of Columbus, Ga; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces nephews.
