Annie Merle (Sorrells) Rainey passed away February 13, 2017, at Enterprise Nursing Home, where she had been a long time resident.   She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, aunt.  She was a faithful member of Park Avenue Baptist Church.  

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Rainey; parents, Annie Mae (Gallops) Sorrells, and Lois Sorrells; 3 sisters – Ethel Mae (Sorrells), Gilmore, Jean (Sorrells) Spivey, and Mernell (Sorrells) Martin; 2 brothers – Causton Sorrells and William Sorrells.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Renee (Driggers) Ausaf of Sebring, Florida; two grandsons, Yousaf Ausaf (Kelley – wife) of Sebring, Florida, and Tariq Ausaf of Orlando, Florida; one brother, Douglas Sorrells, Opp, Alabama; numerous nieces and nephews, including Wayne and Renna Cauley of Enterprise, Alabama, who were faithful in taking care of her; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

 

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date and time.  The family wishes that, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Day Spring Hospice or your favorite charity.
