Annie Merle Segers a resident of Dothan, passed away Saturday January 13, 2018 at a local hospital. She was 80.


Annie was born on April 3, 1937 in Coffee County and grew up on a farm. She moved to Florala, Alabama before making Dothan her home in 1969. She worked for Covington Industries, Burlington Hosiery Mill, and TRW Globe Motors until her retirement. Annie loved sewing, DIY projects at home, working in her yard, and was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother who will be dearly missed.


She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam B. and Edna Louise Jackson; two brothers, Winfred Jackson and Haley Jackson and her son, Danny R. Segers.


She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Segers; her grandson, Daniel Segers; her great-grandson, Preston Segers; two sisters, Maryon (Lamar) Mitchell and Joyce (Edee) Holman, and several nieces and nephews.


Private services will be held at a later date.
