Barbara Enid Milligan, of Enterprise, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018.  She was 88.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Reverend Tonya Elmore officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday beginning at 1:30 and continuing until service time.

Barbara was born January 19, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois and remained there until she married.  Following her marriage, she raised her two daughters on numerous military bases across the United States and in Germany.  The Army brought her to Enterprise in 1972, and she remained here until her death.  She loved the South and made many friends.  Her kindness and her interest in and concern for others endeared her to many.  She was a good mother, and her daughters and family will remember her love, laughter, sense of humor, practical advice, and her love of chocolate, antiques and shopping, all of which she shared with her daughters. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Nell and Grace Risser Nell, a brother, a sister, a grandchild, and two nephews.

Survivors include two daughters: Catheryn Hughes (Peter) of Albuquerque, NM, and Leslie George (Fred) of Enterprise; brother, Phillip Nell of Chicago; seven grandchildren:  Patrick Hughes (Jocelyn), Edward Hughes (Ruth), Daniel Hughes (Lorena), Catie Simpson (Michael), Kristen Anton (Jason), Colleen Murrah (Robin) and David George (Nichole); twenty great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
