Bernell Hines Owens of Bonifay, FL passed away on Saturday, November 04, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 81 years old.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 06, 2017 at Izagora Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Bonifay with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 05, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.  

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Izagora Congregational Methodist Church, 1501 Hwy 179, Bonifay, FL 32425.

Mrs. Owens was born in Holmes County, FL to the late James Pruitt Hines and Vonzie Hines Vaughn.  Mrs. Owens was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed helping others. In her spare time she liked to fish and shop.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Malcom Owens; grandson, Christopher Drew Owens; granddaughter, Christy Gail Wilkerson Capps, and her step-father, Curtis Vaughn.

She is survived by three children, Brenda Wilkerson (Ronnie) of Bonifay, FL, Kevin Owens (Jewellyn) of Bonifay, FL, and Frankie Owens (Vicki) of Freeport, FL; grandchildren, Kyle, Jonathan, Noah, Kaiya, and Kira Owens; great-granddaughter, Braylynn Owens; great-grandson, Dylan Owens; step-grandchildren, Bryan and Nichole Eckert; step great-grandchildren, McKhala and Kyleigh Eckert; sister and brother-in-law, Alford and Janice Williams; grandson-in-law, Charlie Capps; and special cousin, JR Monk.
