BERNICE  PERRY  HOLLOWAY

ABBEVILLE. . .Bernice Perry Holloway, a resident of Abbeville, died late Sunday night, June 3,2018, in the Dogwood Manor Assisted Living. She was 96.

            Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 6,2018, in the Dothan City Cemetery with Johnny Kelly officiating. Holman-Headland  Mortuary& Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside services.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, 2740 Headland Avenue, Dothan, AL 36303.
            Mrs. Holloway was born in Cedar Springs, Georgia and was reared in Slocomb, Alabama, daughter of the late Charles James Perry and Stella Reneau Perry. She formerly lived in Dothan, Albany, GA, Lilburn, GA and Eufaula before moving to Abbeville in 2016. Mrs. Holloway was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lilburn and was active in Sunday School at the Byne Memorial Baptist Church in Albany. She and her late husband were charter members of the Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Dothan. Mrs. Holloway was formerly employed by Doyal’s Wholesale Co. in Albany. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Murry Holloway and two brothers, Byrom Wood and Coy Wood.

            Surviving relatives include two daughters, Joyce Holloway Stone, Duluth, GA; and Karen Holloway Ross (Jeff), Abbeville; a grandson, Mitchell Stone (Nicole), Atlanta; several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Frances Wood Fincher, Dothan.

            The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Dogwood Manor Assisted Living and to special caregivers, Betty Kincey, Shaquitta Pledger, Faye Money, Sharon Glanton, Sarah Lynn, Ashley Glanton, Terra Stafford and Mildred Willis for the loving care and kindness shown to Mrs. Holloway during her illness.
