BESSIE  ROLLINS  HAMMOCK

ABBEVILLE. . .Bessie Rollins Hammock, a resident of Abbeville, died Tuesday afternoon, April 17, 2018, at her home. She was 68.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 19, 2018, in the Hickory Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Stephen Windham and Reverend Thomas D. Gamble officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Thursday in the church sanctuary.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Hickory Grove Free Will Baptist Cemetery Fund, 939 Hickory Grove Road, Abbeville, AL 36310.

            Mrs. Hammock was a lifelong resident of Abbeville, daughter of the late Charlie Rollins and Mattie Lucy Money Rollins. She was a member of the Hickory Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Hammock was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Money, and three brothers, Frank Rollins, Ellis Rollins, Tommy Rollins and a former husband, James Edward "Pete" Smith.

            Surviving relatives include her husband, Charlie Hammock; a daughter, Wendy Rollins Agrella (Marc), Dothan; a sister, Lucy Clyde Bearry, Dothan; four grandchildren, Reid Agrella, Ansleigh Agrella, Craig Agrella (Jennifer), and Chase Agrella (Kaci); three great-grandchildren, Rylan Agrella, Sophie Agrella and Analeigh Agrella.
