Betty Jean Arnold Lindsey, age 85, of Dothan, AL and formerly of Donalsonville, GA passed away Sunday morning, Feb. 4, 2018 at The Terrace at Grove Park.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lindsey will be held on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church Donalsonville with Rev. Michael Wingertsahn officiating.  Interment will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens with Luke Lindsey, Drew Lee, Craig Earnest, Mark Earnest, Stacy Cooper, and Mike Stanley serving as active pallbearers.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM at the church.

Mrs. Lindsey was born in Dothan, AL on September 18, 1932 to Arrell Arnold and Essie B. Jenkins Arnold.  She worked for a number of years with Merchants and Farmers Bank of Donalsonville, much of that time spent as a teller.  Mrs. Lindsey was a member of First Baptist Church Donalsonville.  She enjoyed spending time with the members of the Air Force Group that she and her husband had been a member of for several years, and they used to always enjoy playing Spades with their good friends, Wayne and Frances Trawick.  However, the most enjoyable times she spent were with her family.  Mrs. Betty loved her family, especially the grandchildren but most recently it was the two young great grandsons that put a twinkle in her eye.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Pam Robinson and husband Sam of Dothan, AL; her grandchildren, Lindsey Lee and Drew of Fairhope, AL, Dr. Luke Lindsey and Paula of Pensacola, FL, and Noah Lindsey and Kyla of Pensacola, FL;   her great-grandsons, Carson and Carter Lindsey; and her sisters, Geri Moulton of Mobile, AL and Shirley Williams of Atlanta, GA.

Mrs. Lindsey was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frazier Lindsey; her brother, Willie G. Shelley; and her son, Stan Lindsey.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
