BEVERLY  RILEY  ODOM

ABBEVILLE. . .Beverly Riley Odom, a resident of Abbeville, died Tuesday night, June 5, 2018, at her home. She was 48.

            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 8, 2018, in the Judson Baptist Church with Reverend Brandon Turner and Rev. Michael Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the mortuary in Abbeville.          

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Judson Baptist Church, P.O. Box 56, Abbeville, AL 36310.

            Beverly Odom was born and reared in Dothan and was a 1989 graduate of Dothan High School. She lived in Dothan before moving to Thomas Mill Creek in Henry County in 2001. Beverly was a member of the Judson Baptist Church. She was retired, due disability, as a school bus driver, from the Henry County School System. In earlier years, she drove a bus for the Houston County School System and the Dothan City School System. Beverly was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Gene Riley, Sr.

            Surviving relatives include her husband, Mitchell Lee Odom; two daughters, Nikki Smith and Courtney Odom, both of Dothan; two sons, Cody Odom (Courtney Anderson), and Hunter Odom, all of Abbeville; her mother, Pat Sellers and step-father, Larry Sellers, Dothan; a sister, Donna McCraney (Jim), Dothan; two brothers, Bobby Gene Riley, Jr. and Roger Riley, both of Dothan; a sister-in-law, Donna Johnson (Todd), Ariton, AL; a grandson, Cayson Odom; her mother-in-law, Sue Odom, Abbeville; several nieces and nephews, and a very special caregiving niece, Kelli Paulk (Richard).

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Richard Paulk, D.J. Richardson, Will Carpenter, Daniel Taylor, Clay Gouge and Korey Windham. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Manning Whitehead, Gage Rhodes, Conner Hutto, Conner Jones, Justin Murphy, Luke Nelson and Landon Corbin.
