Mr. Theron Paul “Bo” Nelson, age 66, a resident of Dothan, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Southeast Health surrounding by his family.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, January 28, 2019 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Stacy Stafford officiating and Kendall Glover directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA. 22215.

Bo was born on July 5, 1952 in Dothan the son of Clermon Wilton (C.W.) and Annie McGartha Douglas Nelson.  He attended Dothan High School and graduated from Gordon Military School in Barnesville, Georgia.  Bo then attended the University of Alabama where he was a member of the football team in 71 & 72 then attended Troy State for one year and was a member of the football team.  He was a lifelong member of Southside Baptist Church.   Bo worked as a broker in the trucking industry and was retired as owner of T. P. Nelson Trucking.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clermon Wilton (C.W.) Nelson; two brothers, Charles Wilton Nelson and Francis Nelson.

Survivors include his mother, Annie McGartha Douglas Nelson, Dothan; two brothers, Douglas Nelson (Beverly), Montgomery; Thomas Nelson (Tina), Dothan; several nieces & nephews; special cousin, David Joiner, Dothan.
