BOBBY  RAY  ETHRIDGE

DOTHAN. . .Bobby Ray Ethridge, a resident of Dothan, died early Thursday morning, December 27, 2018, at his home. He was 83.

            Funeral services were held at 2:30 P.M. Friday, December 28, 2018, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Todd Thorpe officiating. Burial followed in Gardens of Memory.

            Memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 1512 West Main Street, Dothan, AL 36301.

            Bobby Ray Ethridge was born and reared in the Brown’s Crossroads Community of Henry County, son of the late Stout Ethridge and Mittie Ellen Starling Ethridge. He was a graduate of Abbeville High School and served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War era.  He was retired from the Southeast Alabama Gas District as a Supervisor. Bobby Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Trammell (Jo) Ethridge and a sister, Joyce Hicks.

            Surviving relatives include a daughter, Cassandra (Sandy) Ethridge; a son, Jeff Ethridge (Diane), Avon, AL; a sister, Shirley Walker, Abbeville; two brothers, Michael Ethridge (Gypsy), Abbeville; and Kenneth Ethridge, Tumbleton Community; seven grandchildren, Chris Rogers, Bobby Ethridge, Dusty Ethridge, Craig Rogers, Travis Lee, Stacy Lee and Miranda Smith; thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
