Bobby Wayne Pate, of Enterprise, Alabama, and formerly of Lauderdale County, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.  He was 78.

 

Memorial services with full military honors will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday beginning at noon and continuing until service time.

 

Bobby was born September 10, 1939, in Finley, Tennessee, to the late Herman Pate and Annie Maude Hansbro Pate.  He was retired from the United States Army.

 

In addition to his parents, his brother, Joe Pate, and two sisters: Sherry Hubbard and Sue Leach preceded him in death.

 

Survivors include three daughters: Tena Louise Vance of Jacksonville, FL, Karan Lee Zaval of Scottsboro, AL, and Elizabeth Ann Thompson of Enterprise, AL; a brother, Larry (Bounce) Pate of Kentucky; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
