NEWVILLE. . .Bonnie King Morgan, a resident of Newville, died late Thursday morning, April 6, 2017, at her home. She was 65.


            Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 22, 2017, in the Sardis Baptist Church, near Abbeville, with Reverend George Bryan officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. in the church sanctuary.


            Mrs. Morgan was a native of Lake Worth, Florida, daughter of the late Edward Thomas King and Sarah Elizabeth Binks King. She lived in Las Vegas, Nevada and West Palm Beach, Florida before moving to the Bertha Community in Henry County in 1990. Mrs. Morgan was retired from the Dale County Road & Bridge Department as a Scale Operator. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Gregory Morgan-Bond, two sisters, Martha Miller and Glenese Oppel and two brothers, Wade King and Elbert King.


            Surviving relatives include her husband, Dennis Morgan; a daughter, Melinda Bond (Bill), Abbeville; two sons, Lloyd Edward Morgan (Cynthia Lynn), Glenrock, PA; and Robert Wayne Morgan (Karen), Abbeville; two brothers, Ronald King, Sebastian, FL; and Donald King (Jackie), Newberry, FL; six grandchildren, Bobby Morgan, Billy Morgan, Shelby Morgan, Justin Bond, Jessica Bond and Dustin Clark; a great-grandson, Kai Morgan.
