Branden Lee Nelson, age 17, a resident of Elba, Alabama passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Kinston, Alabama. Memorial services will be held at Hayes Funeral Home on Saturday, January 5, 2019 beginning at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be at Hayes Funeral Home on Saturday, January 5th, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The family request in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Elba High School football team in his honor.

Survivors include: Mother - Melinda Nelson, Samson, AL, Aunt - Taleah Ziglar, Elba, AL, Aunt - Brandi Yates, Crestview, FL, Paternal Grandmother - Debbie Nelson, Elba, AL, Paternal Grandfather - Benny Edward Nelson, Kinston, AL, Maternal Grandmother - Jimmy Heath, Coffee Springs, AL, Maternal Grandmother - Mavis Heath, Coffee Springs, AL, Brother - Stacey Nelson, Samson, AL, Brother - Tyler Hughes, Troy, AL, Brother - Zachary Magwood, Elba, AL, Brother - Austin Magwood, Elba, AL, Brother - Aaron Sewell, Elba, AL, along with Sisters - Aleigha Nelson, and Zaida Williams both of Elba, Alabama.

Mr. Nelson was preceded in death by his Father - Ben J. Nelson.
