Carolyn Agnes Reid Forbes, age 86, of Dothan, AL (formerly of Enterprise) passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Fort Deposit First United Methodist Church with Jonathan Rodgers officiating.  Burial will follow in Myrtlewood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory beginning at 4:00 P.M. and continuing until 6:00 P.M.

Mrs. Forbes was a member of Coffee County Daughters of American Revolution (DAR) and United Daughters of Confederacy (UDC).

Mrs. Forbes was preceded in death by her husband, David Thomas Forbes, Jr., a son, David Thomas Forbes, III, her parents, George Julian and Susan Carolyn (Callie) Holmes Reid, brothers, Robert Edward Reid and George Julian Reid, Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Rosalyn Reid Forbes Holderfield (Michael), Dothan, AL; Julian William Forbes, Dothan, AL; Robert Francis Forbes (Phyllis), Enterprise, AL; brothers, Alexander Clive (Buster) Reid; two granddaughters, Shanna Rae Forbes Pelt (Jon); Jessica Ariel Holderfield; three grandsons, Matthew Reid Holderfield; Brent Alexander Forbes and Robert Michael Reid Forbes; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
