Carolyn “Kay” Bishop of Hartford passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at her residence. She was 75 years old.


 


Memorial graveside services will be held at 10am Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Hartford City Cemetery with Pastor Tommy of the West Chapel Church and Jimmy Bottoms of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home directing.


 


Mrs. Bishop was born June 22, 1942 in Whitehall, IL to the late Richard Monroe and Lutica Catheryn Monroe (maiden name Settles). She was a proud mother of two sons, an administrative assistant at Enterprise Estate Nursing Center, and owned and operated a flea market and antique shop with her late husband, Delbert “Bud” Bishop in Abilene, KS.


 


In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers Yink Monroe, Hiram Monroe and her sisters Hazel Dawdy, and Alberta Livingston.


 


Survivors include her two sons, Dennis Bishop and his wife Conni Bishop-Hall, and Rick Bishop; her brother Harold Monroe, and five grandchildren Danielle Magner, Joseph Bishop, Melanie Bishop, Andrew Bishop, and Matthew Bishop, and five great grandchildren.
