Carolyn S. Belcher, of Beaufort, SC, went to her heavenly home on October 13, 2016. She was born in Clio, AL, on January 16, 1935.



Carolyn was often called a full time volunteer. She was a wonderful mother andhomemaker. She found great joy in handicrafts, including ceramics, beadwork, shellwork, and basket making. She was active in her church and participated as a leader in Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and senior citizen programs. In retirement she enjoyedtraveling the United States and camping with her husband and friends. She was amember of First Scots Presbyterian Church of Beaufort.



She is survived by: husband of 62 years, Billy Belcher of Beaufort, SC, son GlennBelcher of Palm Beach, FL, daughter Julia (Thomas) Hetherington of Beaufort, SC, and son Phillip Belcher of Long Creek, SC; four grandchildren, Luke (Simone)Hetherington of Tucson, AZ, Rachel Hetherington, Ben Hetherington, and Grant Hetherington all of Beaufort, SC; sister Lois Dykes of Brundidge AL, and brother, Tommy (Patricia) Shipman of Ozark, AL.



A funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Classical School in Beaufort on Saturday October 15, 2016, at 11:00 AM. Graveside services will be held in the Pea River Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Clio, AL, at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 16, 2016.
