Cassie Ann Bryant of Geneva passed away at her daughter’s residence in Elba on Sunday, February 4, 2018, following an extended illness.  She was 70.  Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2018, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson with Rev. Kenneth Hagler officiating.  Burial will follow at Zion Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 5, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Bryant was born in Coffee County, AL on August 19, 1947, to the late Allen and Zadie Johnson.  She enjoyed growing flowers, fishing, and outdoor gatherings.  She dearly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her son, Terry Bryant; and a daughter, Lilly Ann Bryant.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald Bryant, Sr. of Geneva; daughter, Tina Magwood of Elba; three sons, Gary Bryant of Elba, James Edward Bryant of Travelers Rest, SC, and Gerald Bryant, Jr. (Angel) of Geneva; five grandsons, Stephen Magwood (Karizamah) of Elba, Jason Bryant (Kayla), Jacob Bryant (Amanda), Jeremiah Bryant, all of Travelers Rest, SC, and Daniel Bryant of Geneva; three granddaughters, Veneecia Magwood of Marietta, GA, Deanna Bryant of Geneva, and Tanesha Johnson of Elba; nine grandchildren; five brothers, Dock Johnson (Brenda), Mack Johnson (Ann), Pete Johnson (Felicia), Fred Johnson, and Michael Johnson (Tracy); two sisters, Dorothy Johnson (Quinton), and Peggy Johnson, all of Elba; and numerous nieces and nephews.
