Christine Plaisted Herbst passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017 in Dothan.  She was 83.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Meadowlawn Cemetery with her grandson, Pastor Brian Fulton, officiating and Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SOS Animal Shelter, 25944 Highway 84, Enterprise, AL 36330.

Mrs. Herbst was preceded in death by her husbands, Dwight R. French Jr. and Lawrence Herbst; and sister, Mary Marjorie Plaisted.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan F. Akins (Bill), Marbury, AL; two sons, Dwight L. French, Reno, NV, Robert R. French (Linda), Dothan, AL; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother, Roger Plaisted, Farmington, ME.
