Clarence Lomax Martin, of Coffee Springs, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 22, 2018, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was 73.

 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Jackie Bradley officiating.  Burial with full Masonic rites will follow in Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens in Enterprise, Alabama with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday beginning at 1:00 and continuing until service time.

 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Coffee Springs, AL or The Masonic Lodge #664, Chancellor, AL. 

 

Lomax was born November 7, 1944, in Enterprise, Alabama. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many.   He was a member of First Baptist Church of Coffee Springs for more than 60 years.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Green Martin.

 

Survivors include his sons: Ben E. Martin of Hollywood, California, and Chad Martin and his wife, Heather of Coffee Springs; three brothers: Hughie Elton Martin (Patricia) of Coffee Springs, Charles Martin (Timmie) of Thailand, and Delbert Earl Martin (Martha) of Geneva; three grandchildren: Sophia, Olivia, and Heidi Martin; numerous nieces and nephews.
