Mr. Conrad Fay Lawson of Samson, AL (Sellersville Community) passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 78.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with the Rev. Royce Morrow and Rev. Donnie Earles officiating. Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Lawson was born on July 29, 1938 in Geneva County, AL to the late Houston Barlett and Lena B. McCall Lawson. Mr. Lawson proudly served his country, and was so proud to be called a veteran. He enjoyed spending time in the mountains with his family. He was a very loving and hospitable man. Mr. Conrad was a huge Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Chancellor Assembly of God Church was blessed to have had him as a member of their congregation.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Atris McCormick, Atril Davis, Nell Rials, and Georgia Pinkerton; one brother, Connie Ray Lawson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Alice Faye Peacock Lawson of Samson, AL; one daughter, Karla Lawson-McAdams of Winter Haven, FL; one son, Kyle Lawson (Diana) of Samson, AL; four grandchildren, Brittney Sanchez (Tony) of Winter Haven, FL, Stevie Allen (Matt) of Bartow, FL, Emily Lawson (Teeter) of Samson, AL, and Brandon Lawson of Samson, AL; seven  great-grandchildren, Noah, Eden, Andon, Emma, Wyatt, Eli, and Ella; one sister, Sue Aycock (Lamar) of Samson, AL.
