CULLMAN. . . D Arnold “Bully” Caylor, Jr., a resident of Cullman, Alabama, formerly of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, died Friday, January 12, 2018, at his home. He was 91.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 16, 2018, in the Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church, north of Abbeville, with Elder David Guttery officiating. Graveside services, with full military honors, will follow in the Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Holman Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the Mt. Zion Church.


A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 17, 2018, in the First Baptist Church of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in the church sanctuary in DeFuniak Springs.


            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Cullman County, P.O. Box 1108, Cullman, AL 35056-1108.


            Mr. Caylor was born and reared in Suspension in Bullock County, Alabama, son of the late D Arnold Caylor, Sr. and Mercer Nix Caylor. He served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps and in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Caylor received a B.S. Degree in Forestry from Auburn University and later received a B.S. Degree in Pharmacy, also from Auburn. He owned and operated King’s Rexall Drug Store in DeFuniak Springs for thirty years. Mr. Caylor was later employed by CVS and Winn-Dixie as a Pharmacist. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Cullman and was a former member of the First Baptist Church of DeFuniak Springs. Mr. Caylor was preceded in death by a sister, Jennie Lee Caylor, a brother, Raymond Caylor, and two granddaughters, Maryiah Spilling and Seasun Carter.


            Surviving relatives include his wife, Peggy Armstrong Caylor; two daughters, Leigh Love Spilling (Henning), Gatlinburg, TN; Karen Woods (Chris), Sandy, UT; two sons, Arnold Caylor (Faye), Cullman; Hines Caylor, Tallahassee, FL; two sisters, Pat Williams (Si), Belle Chase, LA; Virginia Jackson, Pensacola, FL; three grandchildren, Christopher Woods, Caylor Woods and Beth Vickers; two great-grandchildren, Henning Spilling and Camron Spilling; and two great-great-grandchildren, Henning Spilling, V, and Freya Love Spilling; numerous nieces and nephews who he loved very much.
