Dan Harrell Thomas of Enterprise, Alabama passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 in his home surrounded by family.  He was 71.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Stanley Key officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday beginning at 1:00 pm and continuing until service time.  The family will be at the home of his brother, Farrell Thomas, 962 CR 719, Enterprise.

 

Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice.

 

Dan was born July 5, 1946 in Enterprise, Alabama.  He was an avid hunter and loved to fish.  He was self-employed as a carpenter and painter.  His parents, John Wesley and Mattie Mae Thomas, and his wife, Judith Ann Thomas preceded him in death.

 

Survivors include his two sons: Brandon Thomas and wife Angel of Enterprise and Danny Thomas and wife Angela of Nashville, Tennessee; two brothers: Jack W. Thomas and wife Barbara of Enterprise and John Farrell Thomas and wife Gail of Enterprise; three sisters: Verna Caraway of Florala, AL, Martha Tate of Bruceton, TN and Sara Spence of Columbus, GA; four grandchildren: Caitlin, Arianna, and Austin Blake (Reba), and Mackenzie “Shorty” Thomas; one great-grandchild, Asher Vise; two step-grandchildren: Kayleigh and Addison Creech.  He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as a host of friends.
