Dannye L. Skipper, a resident of Dothan, Alabama passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Flowers Hospital. She was 83.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 2 pm in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Cottonwood City Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home directing. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 prior to the service.

Mrs. Skipper was born on June 6, 1935 in Cottonwood, Alabama and lived her early years there. She was a graduate of Cottonwood High School. After graduation, she married Donald Clyde Skipper and they moved to New Mexico. They moved to different places with his military career before returning to Dothan in 1970. Dannye was employed with General Electric for 20 years until her retirement in 1995. After retirement, she enjoyed sitting in her recliner watching TV with her canine companion, Corey.

Dannye was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Eugene and Mildred Grace; her husband, Donald Clyde Skipper; and her brother, Francis Eugene Grace, Jr.

Survivors include her daughters, Reba (Bob) Middleton and Rita (Joe) Babb; four grandchildren, Tina (Alan) Huggins, Eric (Kim) Middleton, Kristina (Fiance, Justin Haddan) Treadaway and Tara (Justin) Gibson; six great-grandchildren, Grayson and Hayden Hunter, Kamryn and Noah Davis, Eva Gibson and Parker Middleton; a step-greatgrandson, Preston Brooks; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
