Debra Ann Weaver, 65, of Columbia, passed away Thursday March 8, 2018 at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola.


Memorial services will be held 11 am Friday, March 23, 2018 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marcus Wade officiating.


Debra was born November 21, 1952 in East Chicago, Indiana. She lived most of her earlier years in Hammond, Indiana and moved to Houston County in 1997. She has resided in Columbia since 2015 and was of the Pentecostal faith. Debra was kind, generous, always helping strangers in need and caring for stray animals. A lover of life, she spent all her spare time with her grandchildren at the movies and weekends at the beach. Her grandson, Billy, says that she is the best grandmother he could ever have, and Alex never wanted to leave her home.


She is survived by her husband of 40 years Larry Weaver; her son, Bill (Laura) Tucker; her 2 grandchildren, Billy Tucker and Alex Tucker; her 2 sisters, Gloria Fox and Susan (James) Ingram; and a host of nieces and nephews.
