EUFAULA…Debra Dawn Crothers, a resident of Eufaula, died Sunday morning, May 7, 2017, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 50.

            Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 21, 2017, at Abundant Grace Church on Highway 43 in Chelsea, AL. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

            Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Attn: Katie Rotton, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, AL 36111.

            Mrs. Crothers was a native of Chelsea, Alabama and had formerly lived in Mobile and Alaska before moving to Eufaula in 2014. She was a graduate of Chelsea High School and had received a Master’s Degree in Accounting and Business from UAB in Birmingham. Mrs. Crothers was employed as an accountant with American Buildings in Eufaula before her retirement.

            Surviving relatives include her husband, Lloyd Guy Crothers, Eufaula; a daughter, Lori Gilchrest (Josh), Jacksonville, AL; a son, Charles Morrison, Lexington, KY; her mother, Janice Clifton Moore (John), Chelsea, AL; a brother, David Jackson (Judy), Jacksonville, AL; two grandchildren, Isaac (4) and Abby Gilchrest (2).; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
