Lowell “Dockie” Armstrong, Jr.

Dockcie Armstrong, age 60 of Dothan, died late Saturday afternoon at Early Memorial Nursing Home in Blakely, Georgia following an extended illness.

At the request of Mr. Amstrong, cremation will take place and no memorial service will be held.

Dockie was born August 10, 1957 in Ft. Gaines, GA to the late Lowell Thomas Armstrong, Sr. and Joann Brown Armstrong and lived all of his life in Henry and Houston County, Alabama. He graduated from Abbeville Christian Academy and worked for many years at Globe Motors, Sony and Champion. Lowell was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Kerri and Jason Shiver, Dothan, Kelli and William Wheelus, Pansey; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Heather Armstrong; his mother, Joann Brown Armstrong Barefoot and her husband, Larry Barefoot; a brother and sister-in-law, Tracy and Ann Armstrong, Dothan; a step-sister, Gayla (Tom) Burks, Ackworth, GA; several grandchildren also survive.

Family First Funeral Care, 965 Woodland Drive, Dothan,  in charge of the arrangements.
