Doris Bess of Enterprise passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at home.  She was 83.

 

The family will hold a private service at a later date.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Doris’s memory to your favorite charity.

 

Doris was born April 29, 1933, in Selma.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Ruby Norris Grindle; one grandchild; and three sisters.

 

Survivors include one daughter: Karen Bess of Enterprise; two sons: Bruce Bess (BeBe) of Enterprise and Phillip Bess of Herculaneum, Missouri; two brothers: Sonny Grindle and Michael Grindle (Judy); four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
