Mrs. Dorothy L. Tice of Geneva and formerly of Samson, Alabama passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Wiregrass Medical Center, she was 95.

Funeral service will be Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Elbert Smith and the Rev. Gene Hauser officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home directing.  Visitation will be Sunday beginning at 1:30 p.m. until funeral time at the Chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home.

Mrs. Tice was born June 7, 1922 in Dodge County, Georgia to the late Jap Henderson Harrell and Mamie Mae Kirkley Harrell.  She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, a wonderful cook and truly a Christian woman, having loved the Lord her entire life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie Marvin (W.M.) Tice and an infant daughter.

Survivors include her two sons; Ken Tice (Peggy) of Geneva, Alabama and Billy Tice (Wanda) of Sellersville, Alabama and one daughter; Lisa Courson of Geneva, Alabama.

Six grandchildren; Danny Tice (Gina) of Southside Alabama, Tracey Tice (Jennifer) of Black, Alabama, Dawn Griffin (Ben) of Geneva, Alabama, Jeff Tice (Gina), Geneva, Alabama, Christy Cotton (Michael) of Samson, Alabama and Eric Courson of Geneva, Alabama.  Nine great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren, one brother Ed Harrell of Eagle Lake, Florida, and a special caregiver, Nellie Morris of Geneva, Alabama.

 The family would like to thank the Nursing staff of the Wiregrass Hospital for your love and kindness during our mother’s stay.
