Mrs. Dorothy Mildred Abercrombie of Chancellor passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017 at home.  She was 90.

 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2017 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise.  Burial will follow in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday beginning at 1:00 and continuing until service time.

 

Mrs. Abercrombie was born April 3, 1926, in Waycross, Georgia, to the late Charlie and Emmie Albritton Thompson.  She was faithful to God, her husband, and her children.  She was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church.

 

In addition to her parents, her husband, Woodrow Abercrombie, two brothers, and one sister preceded her in death.

 

Survivors include two sons: Clarence Junior Abercrombie (Margaret), Daleville, AL, Roger E. Abercrombie (Julie), Bossier City, LA; a daughter, LaDeema Moore (Ronnie), Chancellor; grandchildren: Mike Moore, Ozark, Marc Moore, Senoia, GA, Alan Abercrombie and Daniel Abercrombie, both of Daleville; great-grandchildren: Maghen Moore and Mason Moore, both of Senoia, Gabi Cline, Louisville, KY; several nieces and nephews; special friends: Mary Rose Bess of Chancellor and Mary Watson, Enterprise.
