DOROTHY  McDANIEL  McCASLIN

 

ABBEVILLE. . .Dorothy McDaniel “Dot” McCaslin, a resident of Abbeville, (Pebble Cove on Lake Eufaula), died early Saturday morning, October 8, 2016, in the Medical Center Barbour in Eufaula. She was 85.

            No funeral or memorial services are planned at this time.

            Mrs. McCaslin was born and reared in Coffee County, Alabama, daughter of the late Howard C. McDaniel and Easter Lee Flowers McDaniel. She lived in various locations in the U.S. and overseas while her husband served in the U.S. Air Force. Mrs. McCaslin lived in Dothan before moving to Lake Eufaula in 1995. She attended Wallace Community College and was formerly employed as a secretary and bookkeeper in the office of Dr. Paul Irby. Mrs. McCaslin was preceded in death by her husband, Logan L. (Mac) McCaslin, a grandson, Jon Brett Lewis, and a brother, Max R. McDaniel.

            Surviving relatives include two sons, Daniel Landsverk (Winnie), and Michael Landsverk, all of Abbeville; a brother, Wayne Douglas McDaniel, California; a grandson, Michael McCaslin Landsverk; two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Lewis and Lorabeth Lewis.
