HEADLAND. . .Douglas Lynn “Doug” Corbin, a resident of Headland, died Tuesday night, October 24, 2017, at his home. He was 32.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 27, 2017, in the Concord Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:00 A.M. Friday in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Concord Benevolence Fund, c/o Janara Parrish, 1350 County Road 14, Newville, AL 36353.
Doug Corbin was born in Dothan and was reared in the Concord Community of Henry County where he lived all his life. He was a 2003 graduate of Headland High School and attended Wallace Community College and Troy University. Doug was employed by Benore Logistics as a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his father, Donnie Quattlebaum, and his mother, Brenda Corbin Neeley.
Surviving relatives include his aunt and uncle, Jean and Buford Kimbrel, Headland; five sisters, Donna Sirk, Susan Bailey, Dawn Spann, Shannon Hall and Carrie Quattlebaum; three brothers, Bart Shelley, Brent Kimbrel and William Kimbrel; a special cousin, Brandi Enfinger; several aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
