EARL  GAMBLE

HEADLAND. . .Earl Gamble, a resident of Headland, died early Sunday evening, April 15, 2018, in Westside Terrace. He was 90.

            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 18, 2018, in the Pleasant Plains Baptist Church with Reverend Don Tew officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in the church sanctuary.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Plains Baptist Church, c/o Jerry Knowles, 5373 East County Road 22, Headland, AL 36345.

            Mr. Gamble was a lifelong resident of the Pleasant Plains Community, son of the late Early Gamble and Nannie McCraney Gamble. He was a member of the Pleasant Plains Baptist Church. Mr. Gamble retired from Big Star Grocery as an Assistant Manager. He was also engaged in farming most of his adult lifetime. Mr. Gamble was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Hamm Gamble, and two sisters, Annette Gamble and Geraldine Tew.

            Surviving relatives include two sons, Mark E. Gamble (Jane), and
Frank Gamble (Cynthia), all of Headland; four grandchildren, Laura Myers (John), Janet Armstrong (Wesley), Jacob Gamble and Gretchen Turner; eight great-grandchildren, Stacie Armstrong, Tripp Turner, Ella Turner, Austin Gamble, Aiden Gamble, Tyler Armstrong, Addeline Myers and Blakley Myers.
