Edna E. Byrd of Enterprise, AL, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at her home.  She was 88.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 20, 2017 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Kerry Mitchell officiating.  Burial will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:30 PM until service time.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to:  Alzheimer’s Resource Center, PO Box 1170, Dothan, AL 36302.

Mrs. Byrd was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Evie Averett; 2 sisters, Bessie Merle Cain and Ennis Byrd; and 2 brothers, Edwin Averett and Dolan Averett.

Survivors include her husband, John Roscoe Byrd; daughter, Shirley Davis (Ronnie); 2 sons, Harold Byrd (Brenda), Ted Byrd (Sandy); a sister, Elizabeth Pate (Wayne); 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
