          Edna Irene Stokes Martin, a lifelong resident of Enterprise, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 7, 2017.  She was 91 and of Baptist Faith.

         Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 10, 2017 at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Rev. Leon Adams officiating.  Burial will follow with Searcy Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Edna’s name to Alzheimer Resource Center, PO Box 1170, Dothan, AL 36302.

          Born on October 4, 1926 to H. J. and Clifford Stokes in Geneva, AL, she was the 4^th of 5 children, 3 brothers and 1 sister.

          Edna was a cosmetologist by trade and loved gardening, painting, being in nature, and especially spending time with family.

          She was preceded in death by her parents and all brothers and sister.

          She leaves behind to grieve her passing, 3 children; 1 son, Gary Martin (Ann); daughter, Jani Thompson (Eddie) all of Enterprise and daughter, Kathy Fox (John) of Panama City Beach, FL. She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

          The family of Edna Martin would like to extend a special thank you to Enterprise Health and Rehab and DaySpring Hospice for their love and care.
