Ellen Ruth Nichols Hutto of Chancellor passed away at her home on Friday, July 27, 2018. She was 79 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 30, 2018 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Tom Chestnutt and Bro Teddy Fain officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery in Enterprise with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to your favorite Humane Society or Animal Shelter.   

Mrs. Hutto was born in Chancellor, AL on May 20, 1939 to the late Dorsey and Colley Lee Simmons Nichols. She loved spending time with her family, cooking, and working in her flower gardens.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer and Waylon Nichols.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Dan Hutto of Chancellor; one daughter,  Janet Hutto Russell(Jim) of Warner Robins, GA, one son, Mike Hutto (Terri) of Chancellor; four grandchildren, Jaimie Miller (Wes), Jordan Russell, Charlie Davidson (Amanda) all of Warner Robins, GA, and Jessi Russell of Chicago, IL; three great-grandchildren, Liam Miller, Holdyn Miller, and Sadie Davidson all of Warner Robins, GA, and many nieces and nephews.
